ANDRE Do you really want to hear what I know? I don't know why people fall in such painful loves. What I know is; you can't help it. You see a manly woman in her. My blurry sight sees light when she is around. She is in all my life, being near her is being alive. You say, it is fatal to love her, I wish I have more lives to spare. If I can't see her, what is my reason to open my eyes?  I know what she thinks, what she feels and her struggles. Maybe for now, you think that this is an impossible love. But I know that we are destined to be together… In this life or in another…

Alain decided to stop. At last, he had made Andre talk. This was the first time Andre told something about Oscar. He had not expected it to be such intense; surprisingly he was respecting Andre’s deep feelings and thought not to say anything about it anymore.

 
When Diane, Alain’s beautiful sister, entered the barracks; Company B stopped speaking and started to stare her. She was a cute girl with long blonde hair and big eyes. In fact, she was favorite of Company B. But since everyone was afraid of Alain, they were not talking about her so much. She was a very caring girl, each weekend she was taking her brothers dirty clothes and was giving the washed ones.

That weekend, Alain wanted to invite Andre to their house. At first he asked Diane, but he was sure that his sister would say Ok. Alain gave most of his salary to her and asked;

 
ALAIN Is it enough? Do you need something else?

DIANE Don’t worry, we are ok. I will set a nice table.

After Diane left, Alain went to rooms, saw Andre and:

ALAIN Andre, don’t have any plans for tomorrow. You are invited to dinner.

ANDRE Alain, thank you but I don’t want to disturb your family.

ALAIN You won’t. Maybe it is not going to be a great dinner but also you won’t care. Do you? You are son of a carpenter…

Andre smiled; he realized he did not have a way out. He nodded his head. A few others had heard their talk. They whispered, Alain had not invited anyone before. Alain noticed what they had thought, but didn’t say anything to them. After Andre went out of the room, Alain looked at the asking gazes of others:

ALAIN Hahhaha, I can not find a better brother-in-law.

It was what started the rumor. Of course, Alain had no such intention; he knew Andre’s deep love but rumor found its way. A few weeks later, whenever Andre left barrack alone, they were thinking he was going to meet Diane. Alain did not do anything to stop this rumor. As every gossip, it was changed a lot. It became a love story between Andre and Diane. At last Oscar had heard about it, how “Andre and Diane meet”. In the beginning she didn’t care about it. She went on her own duties, Company B was tough enough. In those days she did not have so much time with Andre, even if, she wouldn’t ask a word about it. One day, when she was doing her usual work in office; Andre came to her mind. For a second, she thought how he could forget about her. Then turned to her job, with whispering “One day everyone will marry, have children. Even Andre…” . She realized how desperately she needed Andre in her life. In fact, she had tried to get him out, but these attempts were useless and she was happy they were so. Andre was building a new life for him. He should do it. However, that strange feeling…

The worst was that dream, no, nightmare. It was a brief dream. Andre was walking away, then a woman and a small boy appeared near him, They all left. Oscar called him, at least she wanted to wish ‘’happiness’ for him but he was gone. She got up. Oscar was trying to remind herself that it was Andre’s own life. She had to stop this feeling. She started arrange Andre’s shift as away from her presence. It was all she could do. But that weird feeling was following her. In fact, she had a name for it, which she couldn’t pronounce even…  

Diane’s engagement with another man was the end of the gossip. People just forgot about what they had thought. They realized that there were nothing except Alain’s words and everyone knew that he liked to joke. For Oscar, it was a little bit different. Well, it was a rumor; Andre didn’t have a relationship… But the important point was; she had realized her feelings, before it was so late. Or was it?
